Information we process

We process account and authentication details; property and appraisal records; owner attestations; payment references; interview answers; photographs and uploaded documents; signatures and signing audit data; generated filings; correspondence and delivery status; and security and service logs.

Why we process it

We use this information to authenticate you, match the property, calculate and explain software outputs, generate documents you review, arrange delivery you authorize, process payments and refunds, provide status and support, prevent abuse, and maintain legal and operational records.

Service providers

Information is shared only as needed with service providers supporting payments, hosting/database infrastructure, object storage, email, document delivery, authentication, analytics, and AI-assisted extraction or drafting. A filing and its evidence are delivered to the applicable appraisal district at your direction.

Your choices

You choose what owner facts, photographs, and documents to provide and review generated content before signing. Some records must be retained to document payments, refunds, signatures, filings, security, and delivery. To request access, correction, export, or deletion, email privacy@lowering.tax.

Security and retention

We use access controls, authenticated sessions, encrypted transport, restricted object storage, and audit records. Routine logs are retained for 30 days and product analytics for no more than 14 months. Raw interview content and evidence not incorporated into a signed filing are deleted one year after the case closes. Payment assent/refund records and signed or mailed filing records are retained for seven years, then deleted or de-identified. Short-lived sessions and verification/reset records expire sooner. Backups age out on their normal cycle.

Public-record notice

Information submitted to an appraisal district may become a government or public record. The official protest form notes that providing an email address can affirmatively consent to its release under the Texas Public Information Act.
